Halo semuanya, nama saya Fira. Hi everybody! I’m Fira. |
Welcome to IndonesianPod101.com’s “Bahasa Indonesia dalam 3 menit”. The fastest, easiest, and most fun way to learn Indonesian. |
In the last lesson, we learned the numbers from one to ten. Have you forgotten? Here, I'll tell you again- |
Satu, dua, tiga, empat, lima, enam, tujuh, delapan, sembilan, sepuluh!! |
And now let’s continue from eleven. |
Sebelas. |
[slowly] sebelas. |
Duabelas. |
[slowly] Duabelas. |
Tigabelas. |
[slowly] Tigabelas. |
Empatbelas. |
[slowly] Empatbelas. |
Limabelas. |
[slowly] Limabelas. |
Enambelas. |
[slowly] Enambelas. |
Tujuhbelas. |
[slowly] Tujuhbelas. |
Delapanbelas. |
[slowly] Delapanbelas. |
Sembilanbelas. |
[slowly] Sembilanbelas. |
And finally we have: |
Duapuluh |
[slowly] Duapuluh. |
Okay, now repeat after me. I'll say the numbers and give you time to repeat each one. |
11. sebelas |
12. duabelas |
13. tigabelas |
14. empatbelas |
15. limabelas |
16. enambelas |
17. tujuhbelas |
18. delapanbelas |
19. sembilanbelas |
20. duapuluh |
These numbers may seem harder to remember, but 12 to 19 are just made up of the numbers we learned last lesson and the word belas, “tens”. dua - two, duabelas - twelve. |
But for eleven, we use the prefix se- instead of satu, then add the word belas at the end. sebelas |
For twenty or duapuluh, we add puluh at the end of the number “two”. Remember what “ten” was in Indonesian? sepuluh. |
Let’s not stop at 20! Counting from ten to one hundred is super easy! Now I'll give you the tens |
Tigapuluh |
Empatpuluh |
Limapuluh |
Enampuluh |
Tujuhpuluh |
Delapanpuluh |
Sembilanpuluh |
Seratus |
What happens after Seratus or One hundred? |
There is Seribu for “one thousand”, |
Sepuluh ribu for “ten thousand”, |
Seratus ribu for “one hundred thousand”, |
and finally we have Satu juta for “one million”. |
The last thing to learn in this lesson is how to form compound numbers above twenty. This is also super easy! |
Take the tens and simply add the numbers you learned in the previous lesson. |
Let’s try it out. |
How would you say “fifty-six” in Indonesian? Let’s take it step-by-step. "Fifty" is limapuluh, and then add "six", enam. |
Limapuluh enam! It’s done! Isn’t that easy? |
Let’s try a sightly harder number, for instance, "two hundred and fifty thousand" (250,000) |
Take "two hundred", duaratus, next “fifty”, limapuluh and add "thousand", ribu: |
Duaratus limapuluh ribu. |
After only two lessons, you are now able to count up to 1 million in Indonesian! |
In the next lesson we are going to put your number knowledge to use! Do you have all the skills you need to go shopping in Indonesia? If not, I'll be waiting for you in our next Bahasa Indonesia dalam 3 menit lesson. |
Sampai Jumpa! |
