Cultural Insight |
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight. |
Fira: A famous expression in Indonesian is Kenapa tidak? which means "Why not?" You can use it to accept a proposition if you agree but aren’t really keen to do it, or if it wasn’t planned in advance. For example, if a friend suddenly asks you if want to go to the cinema tonight, you can answer with Kenapa tidak? which means "Why not?" |
